A little Smile Goes a Long Way

Let’s face it, people are pretty judgmental by nature. It may be the way someone talks, their weight, their walk - whatever. But, think for a moment about what you typically notice first about a person.
I’m willing to bet that many of you say - a person’s smile. Apparently, with the tooth whitening craze that began several years ago, I’m probably not far off. With this craze, of course, tooth whitening products began flooding the market. The problem is, who knows which actually work, and which just look pretty but do nothing to whiten your teeth? Well, good Housekeeping Magazine set out to answer that very question, and they named their top 4 picks for best tooth whitening product.

I can’t verify the Good Housekeeping findings personally, so you’ll have to take their advice cautiously just like you would any buying decision of this type. But, their findings should non-the-less get you on the right path.

Top 4 Tooth Whitening Products

1. Aquafresh White Trays ($35, drugstores) “These prefilled trays, worn 45 minutes a day for one week, ranked tops on whitening…”

There’s a little review in there…but nevermind his discussion about women’s undergarments…lol

2. Crest Whitestrips Daily Multicare ($40, drugstores) “In two weeks, these strips lightened almost a shade, on average…”

3.Listerine Whitening Quick Dissolving Strips ($24, drugstores) “These strips didn’t whiten as vividly (an average of half a shade), but scored high for taste and ease…”

4.Crest Whitestrips Premium ($35, drugstores) Got the time to go even whiter? Try this GHRI favorite. A 2004 test found these strips lightened teeth more than three shades, on average…”

There you have it. The Top 4 Tooth Whitening Products according to Good Housekeeping Magazine.

I have tried other whiteners in the past and have moderate success but recently I found DenTek Complete White online at dentek.com and was very pleased. It is basically a professional whitening system for $19.99. You get a deep stain treatment and they 1 year supply of a touch up formula to keep your teeth white and 4 trays, also they threw a free Sonic Pick in for free. Check it out.
