How to Floss Your Teeth

Nobody Likes Flossing

Flossing is definitely not on my list of favorite things to do. I’m willing to bet it’s not real high on your list either. However, as much as we don’t want to believe it, flossing is one of the most important ways we can take care of our teeth.

The Problem With Flossing

The problem for most people is that they only know that they need to floss. They don’t know how to select the correct type of floss, when to floss, for how long, and the proper way to do it. This video answers all of these questions in a way that we all can understand. No technical jargon.

What are your flossing tips?

Many people learn by example, so please share your flossing tips and experiences with the rest of us. What works and what doesn’t? Do you have a favorite brand?

I hate flossing. In fact, it has probably been 5 years since I last flossed. I do make a concerted effort to brush 3 times/day and utilize mouthwash when necessary. I think this has worked well for me, but I was intrigued by the “stretchy” floss the hygienist was describing in the video. That sounds much easier to use and I may give it a try. Nice tips!
