ADA Finds Link Between Dental Health & Overall Health…

If I were to tell you that by looking at your teeth I may be able to tell you with some degree of certainty that you’re in for major health problems you’d say I’m crazy right?

Apparently, not so. “Based on information gathered during the 2001 American Dental Association (ADA) annual session, dentists report that oral bacteria, in some studies, have been associated with heart disease, stroke, diabetes and the birth of pre-term, low- birth- weight babies,” reports ADA.com.

Further studies in more recent years have seemed to support this notion, and only now are we beginning to see this information disseminated to the public at large.

If you’re interested in exploring this issue further, and I suggest you do, you may find this site useful…Heart Link to Oral Health

I’ll have more dental goodness for you in my next post. I’ll be discussing the effects of soda on your teeth, and how you can work around tooth decay if you MUST have soda.
